Dr. Wajdi began his career in 1997 as an Orthopedic Doctor at Mafraq Hospital (UAE). In 1998, he served as the Medical Advisor in Hospitex (UAE). In 2002, Dr Wajdi joined Siemens Healthcare where he served as Regional Manager of Lower Gulf Region & Lebanon until 2008 when he was promoted to Regional Sales Director for Sales & Marketing. In 2010, he was appointed Vice President of Siemens Healthcare Sector of Middle East & Africa.
Prior to joining Dubai Healthcare City, Dr Wajdi Al Daghma was the Regional Director of Welchallyn MENA, Turkey & Greece. Dr. Wajdi also served as a consultant for major international projects like Panama global healthcare city and other major project in KSA and the ME region before serving as the CEO of Al Azhar university hospital in Egypt.
Dr. Wajdi is a graduate of MUDR – Medical University Doctor, MBBS in 1997 at Martin University in Slovakia. Dr. Al Daghma studied Marketing and Advertisement at London College of Management in 2000 and has attended various management and leadership courses including the Siemens AG Management Course (Harvard). Dr. Wajdi is a Canadian national, was born and raised in the UAE.
